Das Leibniz-Institut für Festkörper- und Werkstoffforschung Dresden e.V. (Leibniz-IFW Dresden) ist ein außeruniversitäres Forschungsinstitut und Mitglied der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft. Das Institut beschäftigt durchschnittlich 600 Mitarbeiter und widmet sich neben seinen wissenschaftlichen Aufgaben der Förderung des wissenschaftlichen und technischen Nachwuchses. The Institute for Emerging Electronic Technologies (IET) at IFW Dresden offers within the working group “Acoustic Microsystems” a position for a Student Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Bachelor / Master (m/w/d) for Software Development in the field of microacoustic lab technology
Requirements:
Your profile:
As a successful candidate (m/f/d) you should be experienced using programming environments in-cluding Python, C&C++ (for Arduino), MicroPython and Labview. You are interested to apply your skills to the interconnection and automation of devices including analog and bus-based sensors and actuators and for the creation of simple GUIs.
A very good knowledge of written and spoken English, and a distinctive ability to work in an interna-tional, interdisciplinary team and a technology transfer / startup project complete your profile.
Research group and aim of R&D:
The research group aims at developing a prototype for a unique cell sorting technology in the frame-work of our founding-initiative MicroAcoustiX. The offered position is embedded in a larger research team, working on different aspects of a lab device prototype, and especially concerns the integration and automation of its components. You can assist us in the realization of the control software of the protoype, as well as in GUI development, integration of sensors, and the prototype evaluation.
What we offer:
We offer a position for a student or scientific assistant (up to 19hrs/week), as well as for interested Bachelor or Master students with accompanying SHK position (up to 9hrs/week possible), if desired.
